In honor of the Phillies sweep of the Marlins series which begins tonight, today's WNP is a bit fishy. While I've seen this colorway with a few different team logos I haven't been able to locate one dedicated to the Phils.

WNP: 2010 Stars and Stripes

There hasn't been a Why Not Phillies? in a minute, so here it is.

It was a tough call between this CATS Fitted from Oneness or Hall of Fame's new Collegiate H (Black/Red/Blue), but since I've been in the mood for a pinwheel and the 4th just came and went -- the CATS won out. I really wouldn't mind seeing this colorway done for next year's Stars and Stripes Authentics.

WNP: Paper / Straw Woven

If it hasn't been made blatantly obvious by now -- I tend to favor a certain brand of custom New Era fitteds which originate from a chain of islands in the Pacific.

Today's WNP doesn't stray far from this theory as I present this Satin- and Hawaiian Weapon-lined Kamehemeha cap from Fitted Hawaii. Aside from it's great eye catching colorway -- the paper / straw woven material is just what I've been looking for to offset this summer's heat. Since this cap wasn't created with the Phils in mind, I supposed I'll have to settle for a WNP feature about it...but hell, at this point I'd even "settle" for the original.

WNP: Jiggie Edition

I really like the way the multiple shades of red pop on this Sox fitted and contrast with it's clean white text. Of course, I wouldn't mind seeing it done for the Fightin's. In fact, the more I think about it I may even like this cap enough to make a trip up to NYC to see what this shop has to offer.

Why Not Phillies?

With the release of this year's Stars and Stripes Authentic collection as well as the newest Leaders 1354 drops I would really like to see a gradient-filled Philadelphia logo on a cap. Check out Cap City for another example created with those SF Giants in mind.

I would really like to see a Two-Tone Baltimore Orioles colorway Phillies cap - despite carrying a few other MLB teams with this scheme as part of the MLB Twisted collection - Lids doesn't carry it with a Phils P -- and that's just because it isn't made, nor sold.
